Workshop 2: Lantern Making with Glenn Scolyer

Have you heard about the Belgrave Lantern Parade? Started in 2007, the colourful and popular lantern parade takes place in Belgrave, Victoria every June. Glenn Scolyer, one of the lantern artists, joined JCI Eastern's Art2Heart program this year and showed our kids how to make lanterns out of milk bottles. Take a look at what we did at our second workshop on Saturday 17 August.

Special thank-you to Belgrave Library for donating the venue for the Saturday workshop. To find out more about the Belgrave Lantern Parade, visit http://www.belgravelanterns.org.au/.

Workshop 1: Book Making with Joy Serwylo

Our 2013 program started with an interesting topic: booking making. With Joy's help, we had our first workshop on Saturday 10 Aug at the Jaycee Hall in Nunawading. Joy showed us the magic of book making using just a piece of paper. We thank Joy for donating her time and art materials for this wonderful workshop.
