With our felting expert, Jessie Bleakley, leading the group, children and grown ups learned about various felting techniques and made a soap pouch from colourful wool fibers. The result is stunning!
JCI Eastern presents the Art2Heart program. Our aim was to provide a safe environment for self exploration and growth through arts. With the help of volunteers and artists, invited primary school kids were given the opportunity to learn from established artists and experience arts in various forms. This has been a special journal and we invite you to join us!

Opening with Drama
Welcome to our very first Art2Heart session on Saturday 1 August 2015 at Jaycee Hall!
Led by the 2015 program coordinator, Jessie Bleakley, the first session welcomed both children and parents with a short program introduction followed by a drama workshop with the drama specialist, Jono. It was great to see everyone had an opportunity to get to know each other through fun activities.
Thank you for your energetic participation at our very first Art2Heart session. We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!

Art2Heart 2014: Presentation
All good things come to an end and we finished our fabulous 6-week program on Saturday 6 September. It is with such a pride that our Art2Heart 2014 project team presented participation certificates to this year's students. In a way, this was like a graduation!! And of course, we could not have finished the last session without some fun and rhythm. So we were delighted to welcome back Mohamed Camara from Rhythm of Life to celebrate our achievements with some African drum beats!
Once again, JCI Eastern would like to acknowledge the support of our artists, members and volunteers for coordinating this year's project. We also thank Grill'd Restaurant and City of Whitehorse for providing some funds for the 2014 initiative. To our students and parents, thank you for your participation this year and thank you for always being on time.
May all our students continue to explore this world with curiosity and see the world through creativity.
